The following parchment is posted neatly on the cork board. The handwriting writing is flowery but professional:

A fine piece of stationary with clear printed heading stating, "From the desk of Orin Kai, Marshal of the Remnant, as written by the hand of Dovienya se'Tovya, House Cuenn from his words:

Friends, allies, house-mates, greetings to you all,

Last Sunday we gathered together to decide the future course of our organization. These past months we have all suffered. Loss, pain, torment, have followed us in the wake of our fight against injustice. Monetarist Duros Voirai and his network of violence and corruption has taken a great toll against us. There is no doubt that our fight has brought our fair home into great peril, and its people needed to decide if this battle was one we were capable of fighting. Through impassioned discussion we found the struggle too great for some.

Thus, we broke and reassembled in Central Thanalan–to where it all began. Seeing and remembering helped put many things in perspective. This battle we fight, it is for far more than carving out a small space for ourselves. It is to ensure that all people who who've experienced loss, pain, and torment can all live without fear–live and rebuild their lives. What we fight for is bigger than us, and it's a battle we cannot afford to abandon.

It has been made abundantly clear that we cannot fight Vorai on our current terms. Thus, we need to even the playing field. Our fight will continue, but the active investigations into Vorai will be delayed for the time being. We will begin to rebuild ourselves, our lives. We are refugees from all walks of life, from different nations and different cultures. We are former criminals, whores, assassins, others former nobility who rejected their previous lives. We have intellectuals, skilled artists, and craftsmen. We together, have the tools to create a force that can test the strongest of wills. Together, in this place we call home, we will build ourselves up and support each other through our struggles.

We've called ourselves 'Remnant' in the past, a means of describing ourselves as what was left of our once promising lives. Now, I call on all of you to wear the badge of Remnant with pride. We will no longer be the remains of broken lives, we will be those who stood and refused to bend against the tide.

We are all important in this, and each bring our own unique talents. Let us not squander this chance. Instead, let us combine our strengths to forge this group of refugees into an engine that will shake the very foundations of empires. Together, we will accomplish wonders.

-Orin Kai, Marshal of the Remnant.

Orin wanders by the corkboard to take a gander at the revisions Dov made of his original scribble of notes. He flusters a bit as he looks over it and then sighs, rubbing his face with a chuckle.

" I can't complain with the use of flowery words but… Marshal?" He stares at it for a few moments, blushing before turning and walking off to to make himself some tea.

Written on what could be best described as a bar napkin complete with the smell of strong alcohol. The note also has the misfortune of being pinned up with a shoddy dagger that would likely break if used in combat.

From of the counter, maybe it's a table, of whatever bar I wrote this in several times.

I'm saddened you couldn't write this yourself as it doesn't reflect you or sound like you, and confirms my fear that you want us becoming slaves to them.

Destroying Ul'dah won't help anybody.

Scions aren't people who overturn countries… They work with them and support them, not topple and destroy their ways.

Why is my glass empty?

COMPLETELY UNREADABLE WRITING

Would like to talk to you, when sober.
