I have found work with loggers in the South Shroud and they seek 1-2 more people to aid them! Duties include carrying equipment and logs around all day, and must be able to withstand the fresh smell of trees. Both moving and standing still.
I also heard of a slave trade route that goes through the South Shroud… I thought we stopped the slave trading?
I'm planning to make an excursion to the South Shroud shortly; I'll be doing a bit of information gathering while enjoying the sights so any tips are much appreciated.
Lesson of the day: Trees hurt when they fall on you. You need to be quicker then them or else!
*The writing goes more formal then the above.*
I asked the loggers in the shroud about the Slave Route today. They said no such thing exists and should report anything to the Wood Wailers that is funny.
Lots of Caravans go through the shroud loaded with ore, minerals, silks, food, and clothes. Some of which is imported in! *there is a doodle of a hyur in a dress here*
An old man did say to ask around Quarry Mill about a Slave Route though.
One Caravan on main road carrying imported goods. Buscarron's Bruther's is popular with Caravaners and Travelers. Made out with Roegain co-worker. He was nice but wouldn't cover my shift.
~Below is written with a sense of urgenacy~ NEED ASSISTANCE NOW! Something is happening at Quarry Mill tonight! The loggers aren't the suspicious ones and something is happening tonight at Quarry Mill and it deals with Lueby.
~Tacked on the the original piece of parchment~ Nobody suspicious amongst loggers Traders using Snakemolt Passage instead of main road. Teddy Bear named: Lueby Bueguu uses Snakemolt pass Path leads to Quarry Mill ~ Wagon tracks stop at the off shoot to Amdapor Keep Wagons shouldn't be able to make it through the pass but tracks suggest otherwise Near AK is an empty tent, cold fire, and an empty cart Two men, one was carrying a large stuffed sack Lueby will be pleased about the shipment schedule
Somebody please come work with me, but don't act like you know me.
Tacked near one of Seras' notes is a small addition written in a flowing, yet precise, script:
"In the ruins of Amdapor Keep there is a suspicious camp set up, housing a few men. They are armed and supplied, and the camp looks to be well settled into. These men have been here at least a month."
Adventurer's go into AK to clear it out once in a while. Excavation teams go in and document ruins Wood Wailers watch to keep civilians out Area has been clear of travelers lately except for wagons
Chocobo shit smells awful Never attempt to flirt when sad
With the information I have gathered, I think the Wood Wailers are being paid off to let them in and the excavation team is working with Lueby's men… It would explain how the wagons are getting in and out of Snakemolt easily.
Heavy Wagon Tracks throughout Snakemolt Pass. Wagons went to Keep then went towards Quarry mill before going East around Quarry mill, to a tunnel North of Quarry Mill… Wagons were empty and made of dark steel. Whatever was in them was really heavy… The Darksteel was painted to look like wood, just some scraps of wood from crates inside. The wagons are more like trailers then wagons. Garlean design. The Garleans learned MAGICK as it all vanished. Most of the loggers are from the La Noscea region. The excavation team has disappeared. Might have been monsters, or lost of funding Two loggers didn't show up for work.
My contract with the loggers have ended. If anybody hears about a job opening, let me know.
Would like to investigate Amdapor Keep. We should get a group prepared for this. We can go in a small group or two small groups and explore, see what we find.
There appears to be a series of notes, but the hand writing is terrible and almost difficult to read. Beside them is some more elegant dainty hand writing, suggesting the original writer probably had help translating the notes.
"Carina, Sephirah, Yuki and myself went to Amdapor Keep to investigate the trade Caravan Lueby Bueguu was running through the south shroud.
-Found Voidsent and cultists making arrangements with Smugglers to store their cargo in the ruins. Hiding place for stored goods as not to rouse suspicion and keep folks from snooping. -Darksteel crates with canisters of stolen Ceruleum found in the storage areas of the ruins. -Judging based off Aoi's earlier reports about Dark Steel wagons left outside the northern tunnel of the south shroud leading into the east shroud, and Carina's eye witness accounts of Dark steel wagons around the north side of the tunnel, it can be concluded that they are taking the Ceruleum to the Garlean Castrum in the south east side of the east shroud. -Need to investigate the East Shroud -Are wood wailers being paid off?
-Orin"
Below the notes from Orin there is an additional note left by Evey. "Orin had me re-write his notes for him, since he's lost his right arm during the venture into the Keep. He's in recovery thanks to Seph and Yuki. Carina was also injured and is also in recovery.
Another hand written note is placed on top of the series of pages of notes regarding the current investigation. Again, written in shoddy left handed hand-writing, that seems only marginally better. Another translation is posted below it in much more legible hand writing.
" Ceruleum needs to be recovered from Amdapor, but at this point it seems like a lost cause. Too much time has passed. Much discussion has been had about the situation. I've decided we will be moving out of the south shroud. We need volunteers to do some more investigating on the following:
The Ceruleum processing plant- find out who Lueby has smuggling darksteel crates out of the processing plant.
Nothern Thanalan in General- find out if there is activity at the castrum and if shipments are being smuggled up there too.
There is not a rush on this. We have a lot going on at the house right now, so taking things slow and steady is the best option until we're back on our feet again.
