We are currently looking to create a core member base to launch the Free Company. We will be talking with all applicants to help weave characters concepts together, to provide a basic structure on which to build further. Established characters, new characters and re-purposed characters all welcome!
We know how daunting it can be, especially for new roleplayers, to get into the established community. Remnant wants to help make that transition smoother by offering judgement-free roleplay advice, and to give new players the confidence they need in order to break into the Balmung RP community.
Our doors for roleplay will be officially open on 19th June, with the pre-launch of Heavensward. We will be recruiting in-game and on the RPC before this date to generate interest.
These are examples of character concepts, and include but are not limited to the following:
Be a carpenter. Help build up the camp.
Be a blacksmith that one day picks up the sword he or she had made.
Be a cook. Everyone needs to eat.
Be a down-on-their-luck sell-sword.
Be a merchant rebuilding their business. Make some contacts, create some contracts.
Be a former prisoner. We don’t know your history.
Be a trouble-maker. Grifters and swindlers abound! Shenanigans never hurt anyone. Much.
Be a preacher. Lead the faithful in prayer to The Twelve.
Be a story-teller. Sing songs of past heroes and mighty deeds. Or bawdy romance.
Be a Garlean ex-patriot. Everyone makes mistakes.
Be a scholar and a gentleman. Nature isn’t going to tame itself! Take those notes.
Be a medic. There’s always someone in need of medical attention.
Playing a lawful, neutral and chaotic evil type character? Let us know. We’ll help you plan and keep things tidy on an OOC level.
